“This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14

What are the biggest obstacles to taking the gospel of Jesus to the least-reached peoples of the world?

Of course, there are macro-challenges like geography, language, logistics and the ever-evolving global context. Then, there are micro-barriers such as comfort, convenience, and cowardice. Nevertheless, the purest and truest barrier may just be a lack of joy in the Gospel. The mission of God has never advanced on the strength of our safety, but on the power of our joy.

Do you feel the creep of comfort, cowardice, or convenience?

Fight it with the joy of the Gospel.

Do you feel the constraint of geography, language and logistics?

Fight it with the joy of the Great Commission.

At the First Advent, the magi “rejoiced exceedingly with great joy” and worshiped Jesus (Matt. 2:10, NASB95).

It was 4x joy!

May you rejoice exceedingly with great joy—a joy so deep and so steady that all obstacles are diminished until Christ magnifying worship rises from the ends of the earth.
